This week began with completing the last of the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars’ white-helmet Rebel troops.  I accidently put them in their storage box before taking a photo and was too lazy to take them out again for a photo, so I took the picture with most of them in the box.

With my work on the Rebels behind me, I decided to complete the last of my cult figures.  These consisted of two packs of modified Pulp figures… new heads and some additional handguns taken from Heroclix Undercover Agent figures.

This week’s workbench was all about modifying and painting Wizards of the Coast Star Wars’ Rebel troops.

I began the week painting the last of my CMON miniatures.  With the exception of Rising Sun’s Oni of Plagues, these are all repeats (for new basing looks) and from the Rise of Moloch collection.

With those done I returned to modifying, head swapping, and painting Wizards of the Coast figures for my Star Wars Rebel army.

I began the week with a modification of a Heroclix Professor Xavier.  I removed one hand and replaced it with a gun hand from Heroclix Gotham Undercover.

Next on the agenda was a return to Cool Mini Or Not figure painting.  I began with some The Others/7 Sins’ Chronicles Survivors 2nd Edition.  I next moved to The Others/7 Sins’ Men of Faith.

With those done I returned to some figures from CMON’s The Rise of Moloch.

A couple of weeks ago I got a hot deal on the AMT Jabba the Hutt Throne Room model.  It was complete though poorly painted.  Since I will be repainting it, the poor paint job was not a problem.  It is slightly undersized when compared to the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars figures but not bad.  Over the years I’ve picked up a couple of Jabba’s WOTC guards, but their overly dramatic poses didn’t appeal to me.  I decided to use the more relaxed poses of the AMT figures which needed some height and definition as my starting point and use the legs, weapon hands and heads of the WOTC figures to give me the height and definition I needed.  Here are my as yet unrepainted results.

I began the week painting three of the monsters from CMON’s Rising Sun (two of Jorogumo, two of the supernatural trees Jinmenju and the Fire Dragon).

For several weeks I have been working on a large collection of cult figures.  This began when I found a game called Fate of the Elder Gods at the swap meet.  That game included 80 hooded cult figures all in the same pose (the yellow figure pictured here is an example).  I used many of those figures as they came, but I used the hooded heads of some of the figures from that game to add to other cult figures (not from the game) in order to give them a similar hooded appearance.  Pulp Figures makes some wonderful cult figures that offered me the advantage of carrying weapons.  Their Evil Hooded Minions is one example.  I removed their heads and added hooded heads from Fate of the Elder Gods figures to give them that common look I was after.  I also used some gun hands from Heroclix Gotham Undercover figures to add additional firepower to some figures.  Here are my modified Pulp Figures’ Evil Hooded Minions #2 figures.  I was so happy with the way they turned out that I ordered two more packs this week.

I followed them by modifying two of the Heroclix Calculator figures by replacing the upper body of one with the upper body of Heroclix Gotham Undercover.  The second Heroclix Calculator I removed from the chair giving me an empty seat.I ended the week painting the “monsters” and “heroes” from the Cool Mini Or Not The Others/7 Sins’ expansion set Omega Team.
